Market Overview allows users to get a top-down picture of the markets within Canada and the United States from a total market and ETF market perspective across a desired timeframe. Outputs contain ETF Market Overview, Market Overview, and Venue Analytics.
Using the Tool
1. You can access the Market Overview tool by clicking on the icon under Market Data on the homepage, or from the dropdown list on the left side of the platform under Market Data.
2. Once inside Market Overview, you can select your desired Lookback Period and Country at the top of the page. Lookback period selection will translate to the Start Date and End Date. When your selections are made, press Apply in the top right corner.

ETF Overview
This section of outputs provides data on the total ETF market of the selected country in both table and graphical forms.
ETF Total Dollar
- Graph and Table displaying Total Dollar Value in the selected countries' ETF market.
ETF Total Share Volume
- Graph and Table displaying Total Share Volume of ETFs in the selected countries' ETF market.
ETF Top 30 Traded Values
- Pie chart displaying the top 30 traded ETFs in the selected countries' market.
Market Overview
This section of outputs provides data on the overall market of the selected country in both table and graphical forms.
