Overlap & Correlation Quick Start Guide

See overlap of holdings and correlation between ETFs and Mutual Funds.

Our Overlap & Correlation tool allows users to discover investment alternatives for similar or peer ETFs and mutual funds. Simply input a fund, and the app will identify funds that are similar and suitable replacements based on the Overlap of fund holdings and the Correlation of performance vs the inputted security.

This tool will show the Overlap between 2 or more selected baskets, if only 1 is chosen, it will analyze the contents of that individual basket against similar funds

Using the Tool

You can access the Overlap & Correlation tool by clicking the icon on the homepage, or by clicking the Hamburger Icon drop-down menu on the left-hand side of the platform and scrolling down to Advanced Analysis Tools.

To use the Overlap and Correlation tool, simply search up your desired ETF(s) and MF(s) in the ticker search bar and select them from the dropdown list. You can also load up an existing portfolio by clicking the Load button next to the ticker search.

If you are looking at funds outside of the United States, you can adjust the Fund Listing Country Filter as well.

All selected funds will appear in the outlined box on the top right of the tool. Once all desired funds are appearing in the outlined box, click Apply to run the analysis.

Overlap Results

The output of the Overlap and Correlation analysis is sorted from highest to lowest by Overlap percentages but also includes:

Correlation Percentage
Performance Metrics - YTD, 1W, 1M, 1Y, 2Y.
